JAKUB SÝKORA

Jakub Sýkora (*1984, Rakovník) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Prof. Jiří Sopko in 2012. He received the Jan Zrzavý Prize (2013) and was a finalist for the Critics’ Award (2014). His work is held in public and private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Jakub Sýkora is among the leading figures in contemporary abstract geometry. I have been following and admiring his work for many years – due to its precision, intellectual depth, and unmistakable visual language. This exhibition is a natural culmination of my long-standing respect for his work.
