KAROLÍNA JEŽ

A black-and-white close-up of the right side of a woman's face, showing her eye, eyebrow, nose, and lips, with a headscarf and earring visible.

Karolina Ježová is a photographer who has discovered the power of this medium as a tool for deep expression of inner thoughts and emotions. After experimenting and searching for her own path, she naturally gravitated toward abstract minimalism, becoming a central element of her contemporary work. Her work features tension between hidden and obvious meanings, highlighting photography's capacity to reveal latent connections. Her reflections echo contemporary society, frequently inclined toward superficial judgments and biases.

"At the age of 20, I got a low-fi camera in my hands and never stopped photographing.

I try to view reality from two perspectives. I expose hidden secrets and unspoken aspects in their own nakedness, while everything that is clear and transparent is subject to distortion and questioning.”
